Principal - Sr Asma Khan

Sr Asma Khan has been the Principal of Hamza Academy since 2019, bringing over more than two decades of experience in education. She holds a Master’s in Education and a Bachelor’s in Accounting with an emphasis on Business Administration. Since beginning her career as an educator in 2000, she has been committed to fostering academic excellence and character development in students.
With a passion for Islamic education, Sr Asma envisions a future where Islamic schools uphold the highest standards of education and character building, making them comparable to any top-tier public school system. Under her leadership, Hamza Academy continues to grow, ensuring students receive a holistic education that prepares them for success in both dunya and Akhirah.

Sr Nafeza Beskardes
PreK - 3rd Grade

Sr Nafeza Beskardes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education & Special Education from SUNY Old Westbury College and brings over 9 years of teaching experience across diverse educational settings, including public, private, and international schools. Currently, Sr Nafeza is furthering her expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, deepening her knowledge in educational theory and practice.

As a Curriculum and Instruction Advisor, Sr Nafeza applies her extensive experience in tailoring educational approaches to meet the individual needs of students. She is dedicated to creating adaptable and engaging learning experiences that empower teachers to foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere where all students feel challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Her approach blends evidence-based practices with a passion for inspiring curiosity and fostering a lifelong love of learning. Sr Nafeza works collaboratively with educators to develop and refine curricula that not only focus on academic excellence but also encourage creativity, critical thinking, and discovery. Her goal is to inspire educators to build confidence in their students while creating an environment where every child can thrive.

Bushra Zaman -
Grade 4th to 8th

Bushra Zaman graduated from Queens College with a Master’s in Education and has over a decade of teaching experience. She has been a valued member of the Hamza Academy community for many years. As a Curriculum and Instruction Advisor, Sr  Bushra combines her passion for teaching with a commitment to shaping innovative and inclusive curriculum designs that inspire and challenge both students and educators.
Sr Bushra is deeply dedicated to creating learning environments where students feel confident, comfortable, and empowered to think creatively. She believes that fostering curiosity and independence is essential for helping students excel and develop the critical thinking skills needed to process information at higher levels. With a focus on nurturing intellectual growth, Bushra works collaboratively with teachers to design curricula that engage students while encouraging exploration and creativity.
Her approach is rooted in making learning enjoyable and accessible, ensuring that students can engage in the process while mastering the core skills needed for academic success. As a Curriculum and Instruction Advisor, Sr  Bushra aims to inspire educators to instill a love of learning in their students, guiding them to think critically and confidently both inside and outside the classroom.

The Registration Office
Sr Hiba Fatima - Student Services Coordinator

The Registration Office plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to student services and the educational program at Hamza Academy. In addition to managing various administrative functions, it oversees the entire registration process, providing parents with complete information and guiding them step by step through the process to ensure a seamless experience for both students and their families. From the initial registration phase to final admission the Registration Office is responsible for facilitating the enrollment of each child, ensuring that all necessary procedures are completed efficiently and accurately. The registration office also manages the Books and Transportation for students.

The responsibilities and functions of the Accounts Office encompass a wide range of financial and administrative tasks essential to the smooth operation of Hamza Academy. These include budget tracking and oversight, payroll management, financial reporting, and cash flow management. The office also handles purchasing and supply management, conducts auditing processes, and oversees collective bargaining efforts. Additionally, the Accounts Office manages insurance and risk management, coordinates food services, and engages in grant writing to secure funding for the academy’s programs and initiatives.

At Hamza Academy, our Human Resources team plays a vital role in fostering a well-organized, compliant, and supportive work environment for all faculty and staff. From the hiring process to ensuring full compliance with relevant policies and regulations, the HR team is dedicated to maintaining high standards. By effectively managing HR operations, they ensure that staff members are well-supported, motivated, and equipped to excel in their roles.
