Our History​

Founded in 2001 with just 15 students in a single trailer, Hamza Academy has grown into a thriving institution dedicated to academic excellence, character development, and strong community values. As a proud entity of Masjid Hamza, we are a New York State-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit educational institution, ensuring compliance with all state curriculum and health standards.

Our school serves students from Pre-K through 8th grade, catering to the diverse communities of Queens and Long Island. With an emphasis on affordable, high-quality education, Hamza Academy integrates Islamic values with rigorous academics, fostering an environment where students thrive spiritually, intellectually, and socially.

In 2022, we expanded our facilities, adding a new wing with four modern classrooms and advanced technology services to enhance the learning experience. Today, due to increasing enrollment and demand, we are embarking on an ambitious expansion project to accommodate a growing student body and lay the foundation for Hamza Academy High School. From a small trailer to a thriving institution, Hamza Academy’s journey reflects its strong community backing and commitment to educational excellence, ensuring that students are prepared to succeed in both this world and the hereafter.
